Blue Satin Bombshell! 1950s X-Lge Rayon Satin Bias Nightgown~ Sz ‘M’ - 42 (#1515)

This bias-cut satin nightgown dates from the labout the mid-1950s. It is part of our collection of larger-size rayon nightgowns in the New Jersey ‘HQ’ of Silver Screen Loungerie. This gown is listed in both the Nightgowns and the Plus-Size Pretties categories. Click on a 'Gloria' model to view our unique boutiques!

We at Silver Screen Loungerie, endeavor to offer vintage lingerie items of the highest quality. While we sometimes find the occasional “new/old stock” piece, most of our items have been gently worn by just one previous owner. By definition, “vintage” means “old”, and we take great care in restoring items – as much as possible, to their original beauty.

This nightgown’s bodice has parallel rows of lace trim framing a V-shaped neckline. The gown has a shaped midriff panel, which streamlines the tummy area. The expansive skirt is bias-cut, with both pinked and machine-overcast seam allowances.

The gown bears the Rosanna label, and the “M” indicates a 42 inches bust measurement. The rayon satin fabric is in excellent condition, with no flaws that we could find. It is a loose-fitting gown that best fits the 38 to 42 dress sizes. The gown is also quite long at 59-1/2 inches… the hem goes to just below Gloria’s ankles.

This gown is so beautifully styled that it can also be worn as a stunning evening dress! The gown will be a joy to YOU, the fortunate buyer, and the STAR of your own Life!
