We at Silver Screen Loungerie, are dedicated to offering vintage lingerie items of the highest possible quality. While we sometimes find the occasional “new/old stock” piece, most of our items have been gently worn by just one previous owner.

This wonderful Edwardian night dress has never-before been worn, and it is in as pristine condition as the early 1900s day when it was made! There are no flaws that we could find in this delicate silk fabric, not even an ‘age’ spot or a solitary pinhole!

The fabric is a thin silk crepe, with a delicate crocheted lace neckline all around. There are three areas of precise pintucking under the front neckline, with crocheted lace ‘diamonds' in between. There is a thin silk ribbon encircling the neckline. The ribbon could be drawn up to make a smaller neckline, but we didn’t want to risk breaking this fragile ribbon.

There two of the tiniest of French seams in the left back and right back. There is a silk ribbon (waist) tie that came with the gown, but no loops at the sides. You can wear the ribbon or not… your choice!

As in almost all lingerie from the late 1920s and earlier, this piece was cut to hang loosely from the shoulders, and flair out towards the hem. The gown is essentially a “one-size-fits-all” garment.

The gown is not only beautiful to look at, it is eminently wearable by today’s modern woman!

We offer this as a wonderful boudoir gown that will be a joy to the fortunate buyer. It is ready to wear and fit for a Star – YOU – the Leading Star of your own life!
