This fascinating nightgown is one of our best “bridal” negligees, and it has never-yet been worn! It is also one of our “slinkiest” bias-cut nightgowns in the rayon crepe-de-chine fabric! This gown is listed in both the Richard’s Collection and Bridal Trousseau categories. Click on a 'Gloria' model to visit our unique boutiques!
We at Silver Screen Loungerie, endeavor to offer vintage lingerie items of the highest quality. While we sometimes find the occasional “new/old stock” piece, like this one, most of our items have been gently worn by just one previous owner. By definition, “vintage” means “old”, and we take great care in restoring items – as much as possible, to their original beauty.
This Radelle labeled nightgown conjures up visions of the slinky Hollywood movie starlets in the 1940s! The maker’s label is unfrayed, and it reflects the perfect condition of this nightgown.
The rayon crepe-de-chine fabric was made by ‘Bur-Mil’, (Burlington Mills), and is among the most exotic lingerie fabrics that we’ve ever seen or touched! Reverse the gown, and the inside looks and feels identical to the outside. There is simply no lingerie fabric on today’s market that can compare with the rayons of the 1940s!
The gown features a lace-trimmed V neckline, and it has a silvery ribbon to adjust the waist to fit. This gown is in mint - perfect condition, and there are no stains and no holes.
On our 5’ – 11” in-house ‘Gloria’ model, the gown falls 58 inches to just below her ankles. The gown will be a joy to YOU, the bride-to-be, or simply the ravishing ‘bride’ of your own Life!
