Ravishing Radelle! 1940s Never-Worn Bias-Cut Rayon Nightgown (#1013)
Complete description coming soon…..
This is another of our fabulous lingerie treasures -- listed in both the “Nightgowns” and “Richard’s Collection” departments. Click on any one of our 'Gloria' models to find our special Boutiques.
This is one of the best rayon nightgowns that we’ve ever had, and it has never-before been worn and never laundered! The gown features wide bands of cotton eyelet lace for the shoulder straps, extending to the corners of the inverted “V” midriff piece.
Except for 2 or 3 tiny & faint “storage” spots, the gown is in as mint condition as it was the day it was made!
The weave of this rayon fabric is “crepe-de-chine”, an exotic-to-the-skin fabric that is no longer being made. The fabric itself was made by Burlington Mills…. Commonly referred to as “Bur-Mil”. According to the fabric tag, the colour is “Tea Rose”.
